  • Life is about to get much harder

    0
So lately I’ve been wasting lots of time on the Internet, when there’s other much more productive things to be doing, like studying for TRIALS which at this moment is still in session. Or maybe learning Sejarah so I can get a solid B in trial 2. Or maybe studying for the biggest, most important exam yet coming up in a few months. Seriously, SPM is just about a hundred da-

Actually, I have no idea when it is… Google time!

Ok found it. If anyone’s interested, here you go: SPM schedule

Well. For me, the exam begins on 18 November and end on 9 December. That means I have 3 weeks from the end of SPM until I leave for UK.

    Oh, you didn’t know?

I’ve been accepted into Abbey College, Cambridge for an 18-month A-levels course. I think I’m taking Maths, Further Maths, Physics, ??? (can’t remember… English or Chemistry) and maybe a 5th subject. Term starts first week of January so on January 1st I’m flying over there with my parents who’ll be having their own little vacation as well. That’ll be fun, and there’s probably going to be lots of pictures and more blog updates, so stay tuned.

Back to SPM. First day, both BM papers and Sejarah (Paper 1). That’s terrible for me… my worst and 2nd worst papers next to each other. Thankfully you can’t really study BM so I’ll just cram Sejarah and rush through KOMSAS for BM. Next day is both Englishes (I like making words) and Sejarah (Paper 2). Oh damn…

Sejarah Paper 2. If I had the worst nightmare in the world, it would feature the Sejarah Pape- no wait, the worst nightmare would be much worse. But that paper is probably the 4th or 5th worst nightmare in my life. I am not looking forward to this day at all.

(What, 4th or 5th doesn’t wound very nightmarish? Well, considering that there is an infinite number of nightmares, I’d say that 4th or 5th is still really, really, really, really terrible.)

Next, Friday, 20/11/09, day 3 of SPM. EST. Basically that means that I can spend the entire previous day playing TF2 and messing around with the iPod Touch and still score 98% the next day. I could do it with one hand tied behind my back and one eye closed while being gagged and starved. (Come to think of it, anyone can do that, so it’s not really that impressive)

Now I will predict the future: I will spend the weekend doing absolutely nothing, because on Monday it’s Mathematics (more commonly known as Modern Mathmatics, although why it’s called Modern I have no idea. Think about it. The maths in Add. Maths is tougher, so it’s more likely that the maths maths involved was pioneered long after the maths in Mod. Maths. Sheesh, who thought that Modern Maths whould be a nice name?). This paper should be easy enough that I could do it with one hand tied behind my back and one eye closed while being gagged and starved.

Tuesday. Moral. I’m really bad at this paper, because I am TERRIBLE at memorising 36 different phrases and 36 longer definition phrases. If there’s one thing I know though, it’s that I’ll probably just suck it up and memorise it all, after which there should be no problems.

Wednesday. Additional Mathematics. Really, ICDIWOHTBMBAOECWBGAS. Although I probably won’t have time to check.

    Thursday. No exam.

Friday, Saturday, Saturday and Sunday. No exam.

    (Yes I like the song.)

Week 3 of exams. First day I have my one and only truly elective subject, Literature in English. I have no idea whether this will be easy or hard, because to be honest I don’t think anyone knows how the paper is marked or what questions will come out. I really like this subject though, because it’s the only one true subject where things are you really have to think and analyse the questions and what you’ve studied before you can answer it. In every other subject rote memorisation should get you a B without fail. This exam should be interesting.

Tuesday and Thursday is Biology and Physics respectively. I have nothing to say about these papers…except that those many free days before this? I’ll probably have spent them studying for these two subjects (and Chemistry). No exams on Wednesday.

Also, no exams for the next FIVE days. When Chemistry come on Wednesday, 9 December, I’ll be ready. And waiting.

AND THEN IT WILL BE OVER.

It’s a television show. And it’s extremely funny.

While I was in the US, I watched 2 episodes of this, and I don’t think I’ve laughed so much at a TV show before. So I came home, and I downloaded Season 1, then Season 2, then….

Early this morning at about 12.30am I finished the entire series, all 5 season, and 100 episodes. x.x

And I suggest you go watch it, immediately.
