  • I AM A GENIUS

    0
Warning : this post contains unveiled sarcasm, ego and insults. This amazingly intelligent author acknowledges this and would like to recommend you do not read if you have a weak heart and/or don’t like me.

I am officially smart. Really. I am smarter than almost all of Malaysia. I am in the 98th percentile, and if you didn’t know what that meant, you just proved what I said. Indeed, I am so smart that I am sure Mensa Malaysia would want to sign me up immediately.

OH LOOK, THEY DO! (clickity on it)

In conclusion, I am smart. You can’t argue with science. Only fools would do that.

P.S. You could imagine this post was about 3 times longer, with good arguments about why I am smart and you are probably not. But I’m tired, I’m literally managing 3 events at once in school, and there really isn’t any need to home in my point any further.

  • One hectic week

    The Paramount Championship

A inter-class competition involving over 20 events. Aim : to instigate a sense of teamwork, achievement and accomplishment into students.

Also : to give people some really big headaches.

At this very moment, I am involved in 3 events, all occurring at roughly the same time. The closest event is the Skit. Students are to perform a skit lasting up to 10 minutes. The event starts next Thursday and who knows when it will end. But our team has potential : our skit script features pirates, milk, Samy Vellu, toll increases, inter-species relationships and quite a few other things I can’t remember. Think Epic Movie but without the suckiness.

And then there is the Debate using the All-Asian Parliamentary debate system. Next week there will be a forum, where two people of our 4-person team will debate about cosmetic surgery in some seriously retarded, overcomplicated system which takes one hour to just explain.

But my personal favourite, the Short Film. One video, on any theme, up to 15 minutes long nd I’m the director ^^. I have as of this post 29 days to write, shoot, and edit the video, so I better get hopping.
  • How to save yourself some time

    0
It’s surprising how many people in Malaysia don’t use RSS feeds to check stuff. Since in an a usual teenager’s internet life, checking through blogs is about 50% of the time spent in a browser (other 50% is spent on social networks -.-), this is a tutorial on using RSS feeds to check all your favourite blogs from one website (so you can spend your time looking at people profiles instead).

Step 1 : Find a RSS reader/startpage. The one I use is called Netvibes.

Step 2 : Sign up for an account.

Step 3 : Search for a button which says “Add feeds”, or something similar to that.

Step 4 : Here’s the iffy part. Search the blog you want to read for an RSS feed or an XML feed. As a shortcut : for Blogger blogs the url you should enter into the box is

    http://<blogtitle>.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default

    Like mine : http://jiannmeng.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default

Step 5 : Press save, then close edit.

Now, just by checking Netvibes, you can see all posts made on the blogs you are tracking. Also, when a new blog post comes up, it is very noticeable. Now there’s no need to look through blogs with horrible backgrounds and music anymore.
